The proportion of municipal waste that goes to the following destinations is collected:

• Mechanical-biological treatment: treatment of the remaining fraction, in which recyclable materials are separated.

• Energy recovery: waste sent directly to energy recovery.

• Material recovery: includes the recycling of glass, paper and cardboard, light and bulky packaging, waste from green points and other specific collections; composting of organic waste from parks and gardens and of the organic fraction collected selectively, and, finally, the organic fraction that is sent to mechanical-biological treatment.

• Controlled deposition: waste that is sent directly to a controlled deposit.
