Note

The study is based on daily temperature and mortality data from the period 2006-2023. Information sources include the temperature record from the Raval meteorological station and the burial register of the Agència de Salut Pública de Barcelona (ASPB). The studied population consists of residents of Barcelona who die in the city. The dependent variable is the number of daily deaths, and the main independent variable is the daily maximum temperature. The data analysis includes a descriptive analysis to explore the data and calculate the parameters necessary for the association and impact analysis. The association between temperature and mortality has also been studied using Poisson regression models with distributed lag non-linear models (DLNM).
